Hi, I recently got a 2017 Ranger Wildtrak auto. Great vehicle but there is a mystery puddle of an oily liquid underneath it on the drive ! There are no oil leaks visible underneath it but above the puddle is an open ended thin black plastic pipe hanging down. It seems to come from above the front of the main fuel tank but I can't see exactly where it starts from. I've checked the fluid levels and they are all fine. The patch underneath is around 8" across ......any suggestions?

If all levels are fine and unchanging and only based on your statement that it is from an area near the fuel tank I can only say (if it's diesel) that it's an overflow of fuel?
Is it constant and increasing, or a one off thing that's happened, did it happen after a fill up?
If it's still leaking, put kitchen roll over the end and collect the liquid for better diagnosis?
Otherwise, I'd wait until someone else comes along with their ideas?

Yes it is a diesel, and I had filled it up. It seems a strange place to have the filler breather but I guess that's the most obvious answer??

Thanks very much for the reply, I will monitor the drive underneath. (So does my wife, she saw it first and demanded pressure washer action!!!)
