Mk7 St cooling issues

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Got an issue with my st currently. So noticed it when I drive it hard for the first time it instantly over heated. Coolant has a lot of bubbles in it. I have checked the head gasket by both checking the coolant sniff test solution and compression testing the engine all that was fine.

Changed and checked all connectors on the coolant lines, put an uprated Mishimoto thermostats in it and put a new radiator in it.

Noticed yesterday that the fans not coming on anymore either with ac on or when the cars hot. I’m wondering if this is making the coolant boil and overheat putting air into the system. Any ideas?

Sometimes coolant overfills the coolant tank and flows out through the overflow pipes. And then returns down to under minimum of the coolant bottle.

Any assistance would be amazing. Thank you

The fan definitely needs to be fixed, but I'm not convinced that's the only fault here.

Has the waterpump been replaced yet?
