Ebay - leaving neutral feedback

I have an item on Ebay - a detachable towball - which the description clearly states collection only.

So someone emailed me to say could I post - no, sorry, replied I (or me?). So the same person bought it anyway!

So I sent a reminder about not posting, he then cancelled the purchase and I sent him the refund. All OK so far, this was several weeks ago.

The transaction still appears on my list as requiring feedback, but only allows me to provide positive feedback - which is daft, Neutral seems more appropriate.

Anyone know a way around this? Ebay are no "help", as it were.

    No. This irritates me as well.

    Personally I'd rather just leave no feedback than neutral. But there seems to be no way to delete these ones from the feedback list either.

    Have they left you feedback out of interest?

    Sometimes you have to wait for about 7 days before you can give a neutral or negative feedback

    Yes, I've seen that. I believe unfavourable feedback stays on sellers records, so maybe they hope 7 days is time for you to simmer down a bit and moderate your comments?

    I've had 5 weeks to consider ...! A little one-sided that feedback from buyer to seller stays on the record, but feedback from seller to buyer can only be +ve.
