mc_flame
I am changing the spark plugs on my 04 plate 1.4 zetec engine, but need to know the gap for the plugs. Anyone know? Help app. :)
mintalkin
if they are origanal spec plugs they are usually pre-gaped, but should be 1.3mm
mc_flame
I am talking about the electrode distance on the plugs. On ukfn someone has suggested that they come preset when you buy them. They did ask me when I brought them my car model etc. The only reason why I am still asking is because the gap on the ones currently in the car are different to the ones that I have brought. Are the ones in the car set to the wrong distance, as I noticed that they are dry and black hence why I am replacing them. I am hoping that this is the cause for the car not starting. mintalkin
if your old plugs are black it shows slight overfueling they ideally should be a greyish colour
