the grendal
My r reg fiesta 1.3 encore has snapped the clamp which holds the anti roll bar bushing. Reading haynes to renew the clamp I have a big job ahead of me. I have to disconnect the steering , the exhaust manafold, drop links and more in order to drop the subframe/ suspension cross member enough to undo both bolts retaining the bracket and renew as appropriate. The real concern I have here is it then goes on to state I require specialist tools ---- ford tool number 15-097 to align the cross member with the body when refitting. without use of the tool results in incorrect front suspension/steering geometry can anyone advise if its possible to renew the brackets in a simpler fashion?- if not do I really need the tool? If I do need the tool can someone assist as to where I can buy ? Many thanks in advance
mintalkin
sometimes you can get a jack to hold the anti roll bar in place and then try to get a socket onto the clamps to replace them
