LittleBIGfiesta
The problem with snow, is that most people in this country cannot drive in snow or ice. They drive too fast, and dont have the correct equipment, so my worry is that someone else will hit me and not the other way around. Every year i fit winter tyres which are simply amazing in the snow and ice, especially on my TTS which has quattro. I also fit tyres on my partners fiesta and as a result it is safer for her and everybody else. Its about time during winter, that winter tyres were made a requirement by law. The Dark Knight
Won't happen Darren. The trouble is that in the UK, we can have a boring mild winter where temps don't drop below 7C very often, below which winter tyres come into their own. I hope cold and snow continues. I have a brand new set of conti TS850's ready for winter which are rated as the top winter tyre. Still not up there with my previous car (Freelander 2 SD4 XS) for kicking butt in the snow and that had winter tyres too. Had to go due to cut backs lol. The other problem with everyone having winter tyres is that there would be a shed load of idiots who think it makes them invincible so they would be driving too fast and close etc. Some do now though I guess.
