How Can I Remove My Rear Number Plate? Screws Wont Work. !

My rear number plate is all worn so i baught 2 new one's. Replaced the front plate easily by just unscrewing it and scewing the new one in. But the rear plate will not unscrew :angry:

The screws just spin and will not unscrew or loosen at all. How else can i get the plate off without damaging the screws that i will need to use for the new plate?? Even if i just snap the plate off the screws still wont come out will they if there just spinning when trying to remove them..

Pop the trim off inside the boot and see if you can gain access with some mole grips or pliers?

It might be that if you snapped the plate off and then got some increased force on the screw then you may be able to get it to turn. Maybe wedging something behind the plate might help actually?

trim off is the best option, because if the fixings are slipping round getting the plate off. It will do the same putting the new plate on.

This might sound a bit simple but have you tried good old WD40 on the job
