Fiesta Mk7 'silver Paint Spots' On Colorado Red

Hi

I washed my Fiesta for the first time in a month or so and it was then that I noticed a sort of silver spots on the paintwork of the car. I found some on the side doors, the wings, the bonnet, the roof, back door and bumpers. As my car is parked in our company car park, I asked around some of our staff and I was told that back in December, a company was painting the 'mobile mast tower' at the bottom of our car park and it was said that after they had started painting, they stopped to put a protective shield underneath where they were painting - obviously after they realised that paint spots where falling on our cars, so it looks like that is where the paint spots came from.

Thanks, BHeart

I know I should not have done it but, I managed to remove a few with my finger nails but I then stopped.

I would like some advice on what I can use to soften the 'paint spots' so that they can be removed easily, so any help would be appreciated.

Im just putting it out there but if your able to lift it with yoru finger nail maybe a strong wash and clay the motor might lift it off, was it jsut "normal" paint etc, its might not fully bond onto your cars paintwork.

Hi Strutter

Thanks for your response.

I actually should have given a bit more info about removing some of the paint spots with my finger nail. It was actually quite difficult and I had to keep picking away at the spots that eventually came off, in bits. I also gave up on some other paint spots, so I think some solution is required to be applied that will soften and dissolve the paint spots and make them easy to lift off my paintwork.
