First Service

Recommended Posts

My car was registered on the 3rd of March 2010, so I need to have it serviced before that date. Do you know if it's possible for me to get it serviced right now and not void the warranty or is too soon? Also, how much did you pay for your first service?

This is my first new car so I have no experience dealing with servicing so any advice is much appreciated!

Cheers!

Not sure why you would get the car serviced early (unless you're past 12500 miles of course) as you're effectively wasting a month, but there's nothing to stop you doing so.

My first service was only £100 odd.

My first service was £99. If you live in an area with a few dealers then play them off against each other until you get a similar deal. Also, don't bother servicing your car until 1 year or 12k miles, the car doesn't need it and you're just reducing the time until your next service.

Thanks guys, the only reason why I wanted to get it serviced now is because I'm moving from Bristol to London at the end of the month, so I'm hoping it will be cheaper in Bristol and I already know a good garage. I wanted to know if it was possible to do it early without voiding the warranty.

I will probably try and get it done the week before I move, from the check list it sounds like it's going to take all day to service.
