Jedilard
Which version tdci do you have?
jazzy jay
think its the duratorq 90ps
MRC89
Many people can remap the 90ps variant of the 1.6TDCI, not so many (if any?) can remap the 95ps variant which was released a while back. I'd say a remap/tuning box is the easiest way to get a bit more power out. They both achieve similar results in power gains, but they do it differently. A remap is the more preferred for most people, but may not be available. Do a quick google "Remap vs Chip" you should be able to find all the differences there :) Gratz on the car! Nico.
check out http://www.mountuneperformance.com/# (dunno what they offer for TDCI engine though) and http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/category.jsp?makeID=1&modelID=40 (diesel section) there are more than this knocking about but they are the recommended 2 for it, mountune will upgrade a tdci from memory and it keeps your warranty intact
Jedilard
Go for a re-map. Should give you around +25bhp and they cost around £200-300. I'm going to fit a tuning box tomorrow and will give me about the same but are well known to be really difficult to fit. Not looking forward to it! andyedge
RS Tuning in Leeds is a popular one on the ZSOC forum & they can map the MK7 TDCi. You would have to ring them though as it is not listed on their website. I will most probably get mine done when the warranty runs out as it doesn't look like Mountune will ever release an official tuning package.
