Help! Constant Buzzing/whirring Noise

Hi, Can anyone help?

Came back to my car - Ford SMax 2.0 tdci - after 10 mins in a shop and hear this horrible sound. (

)

The dash warning lights about the brakes and ABS were lit up (they lit up once a week ago, but when I restarted, went off).

What is this horrible noise? It's bound to drain the battery at best. At worst, will something overheat, or corrode??

Background - the car is just back from the accident repair as I hit a deer the other week... The brake warning lights lit up after that... The alarm service warning also shows on the dash since the repair on each start up, but the repairers couldn't find a fault.

The garages and repairers are closed till Tuesday - it's only Saturday today!

Can anyone help?

Tried removing fuse by fuse and it turns out the noise was the ABS pump! Does anyone know if I can still drive the car without this fuse in? I assume it just means the ABS won't work, but will the normal brakes still work?
