j0543 Posted December 1, 2008 Share Posted December 1, 2008 Can anyone help with this. My 1996 Fiesta 1.3LS has not been used for about 4 months. Went to start it and battery flat (no surprise). Charged battery, and starter whirrs but does not engage. Any ideas? Is the engagement gear stuck? Can it be easily freed if so? I'm a newbie, and don't know where to start.
