cappers
Just got my 1.6 Zetec, with the foam stuff rather than a spare wheel. this may sound daft but there is no jack. Seems a bit strange not to have one with my car, but I suppose they think you would not need one? Is this correct? Did Foed ever think you might want to use a jack for no punture reasons???! Anyway, is this right that there is not one??
MartynS
You only get the jack if your car comes with the spare wheel option (in which case you also get the wheel brace). With the foamy stuff you're not meant to get anything else, in fact they use the space for the toolkit to put the fuel funnel! I'm only going by what I've read on here, but I thought for anything other than an emergency situation you should use a proper trolley jack as they're safer than the scissor ones. Hope this helps! cappers
Thanks for your reply. That makes sense and I understand why they would do that, but bit concerned no wheel brace or Jack which you may want to use for other reasons!
Nico.
the reason they dont have the spare wheel/jack standard is they then get to state the car has lower emissions etc from standard, pretty sure though if you went to your dealer they would hit you up with a spare wheel kit though, am sure a few people only discovered this after they got their cars
