The only real way of checking how many fobs have previously been added is either by IDS or Elmconfig with a modified Elm interface.

    Also from what you keep saying you are turning the key from accessory I.e position 1 to on position 2. You have been told to make sure you are turning the key from off to run 4 times and the car should beep/bong when it does it is in learning mode, pressing a button on three remote should illicit another bong and the remote should be working. You have not confirmed you are going from the off position to the run position 4 times.
