Fusion Roofbars.

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me if there are various predrilled positions in the roof channels for the Ford genuine roofbars?

I have recently bought a 2004 Fusion with roofbars but they are too close together (700mm). I saw one today with the mounting points both in different positions that would put them 900-1000mm apart.

Thanks in anticipation.

I recently put genuine roof bars on my fusion, there are holes under the rubber trim, as I recall, they are around 700mm, which does look a bit close, thule roof bars also fit at around 700mm

Hello can anyone tell me exactly where the predrilled holes for the roof bars are. Please could I have mm front to back and side to side along the black strip. Does the black strip need to be lifted? Many thanks

Did you ever find out if there are mounting holes on a Fusion?

The Ford Brochure does show the roof rack as an accessory, but the only mention in the vehicle handbook is "follow the manufacturer's instructions" - really helpful !

There might be tapped holes, or there might be a clamp arrangement to a "Tee" strip.  I will try and have a look on ours and report back!

Apologies for delay in responding - I did have a look on our roof, and without removing the black strip there is no obvious pre-drilled fittings,

I'm assuming you can fit other roof bars without using pre drilled holes .I ask as I'm a window cleaner and have just bought my fusion for work. I'm hoping so of course. thanks

i dont think genuine ford roof bars are secured thru the black strip, they have rubber feet with a metal piece that slides into the door opening.

Hi recently purchased a 2010 fusion and can confirm there are threaded holes under the black rubber trim. They are 700mm from the rear of the trim and 1400mm from the rear of trim. Looking at fitting bmw 1series roof bars
