Sawley Steve Posted November 22, 2011 Share Posted November 22, 2011 Hi all, I seemed to have developed a problem with my 2008 Focus Zetec's central locking. When I lock the car it makes a terrible mechanical crunching noise. Also I am unable to open the passenger door from the outside. Any ideas? I am out of warranty so don't fancy taking it back to ford. Cheers Steve. I had a very similar problem from my front passenger door, but only when 'double' locking it with the deadbolts. Luckily mine was under warranty. They said they replaced a latch. I didn't have the problem of not being able to open the door though.
