What are the difference if any and extras etc? From which years?

I'm new to Fords and ain't got a clue they look all the same to me?

your focus is a mk1 facelift so that makes it a mk1.5 98-01 was the mk1, 01-04 was the mk1.5

one of the differences was the front bumper/headlights

Thanks :)

I think my indicators are in the headlights?

Also previous owner installed a pair of ST fog lights apperanlty. They are rounded in a silver casing unlike others I've seen

With my last car It was a Corsa C it was 01-03 preface and facelift there after!

your focus will be a mk2 as you say, yours is the first of the 'new' shape

cool. out of curiosity, would it be possible to fit a 2.5 boot to a mk2? they look much nicer!

I *think* they cannot be interchanged, I believe that they made a few minor tweaks to the size / shape of the boot, as well as some improvement on the seals (if im not mistaken). However, being only a "facelift" and not a completely new MK boot structure, you *may* be able to get it fit...

You would really need to analyze your bootlid / measurements with that of a MK 2.5, width's, depth's, catch location measurements from the outside, hinge size and location, and also depth of the the outside panel to the inside plastics of the boot.

Alternatively, pop down to your local scrappy, and (as unlikely as it may be) see if you can find a MK2 and MK2.5 and ask if they dont mind you swapping the boots between them? that way you dont damage your car and you get to see how well it does or doesnt go!
