stevelee10
hi, i have a 2000 mk5 ford fiesta with the 1.3ltr endura engine. it has 45000 on the clock but has an intermittent fault with the starter, every now and again when you turn the key the starter motor spins but doesnt engage, normally if you try it again it will start. now i thought it might have been the starter motor, so ive changed that, but the problem still persists. does anyone have anyideas what else it could be or has anyone else had a similar problem? stevelee10
i know this is in the wrong place but if anyone could shine any light on this it would be of help, i was thinking maybe the flywheel could be missing teeth, would there be any other noticeable symptoms if this was the case?
