rizel23
Hi all, Well our cambelt change went wrong on a 2001 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec SE (topped)! The crank pully bolt cam loose and broke 8 vales (new bolt was used)! The head was sent off to be repaired and all new valves have been fitted and skimmed and re shimmed and a new head set has been fitted (being fitted) I'm no mechanic was just helping out. Can anyone please confirm to order that the shims go back on? We had to take them off to bolt the clyinder head down and was to double check they are all back on in he correct order. I under stand there are two rows, one front (inlet) marked 'I' then number and rear bank marked 'E' Many thanks
mcyoungy
would you not fit the shims depending on the valve clearances measured?
