Ordered Some Stuff...

Hi

I got paid this week (we get paid in the middle of the month) so ordered a couple of bits for the Fiesta. I've ordered a set of four scuff plates and chroe trim for the grille. Will fit them and photo them at the weekend.

What I can't decide on is two more items. I've been looking at the Boomerang front armrest and a set of mudflaps. The armrest looks smart but is pricey. The mudflaps make a lot of sense and are cheap but I don't know if they're a bit fuddy duddy?

What do people think?

I wouldn't be without my armrest now! Though I chose the cheaper £55 eBay one.

I always fit mudflaps where I can. The SportKA doesnt take them and you can see what it does to the sills not having them.

Its worth fitting them if you intend to keep the car.

I fitted some mudflaps to my Fiesta MK5 (much older than your car I know!) but at least now when I wash the bloomin' thing it stays clean on the sides for longer. I was sick to death of spending ages washing and polishing the car and then the first time I use it afterwards all my hardwork is pretty much undone.

What made me decide was a stone chip and scrap up one of the doors, about 6 inches long. Must have been a massive stone, or more likely a rock :( I suppose now there's some protection to the lower front doors and outersills from stone (or rock) chips.

Darrell, they're worth getting mate. I would put a picture of mine up but all I have at the moment is my BB Curve and it's certainly a better phone than it is a camera!! Plus mine is a MK5 and old so it wouldn't be much use to compare :D

The mud spray on the first picture was on the car before I added the mudflaps, now that is alot less, say gone.

Nice one! Many thanks for doing the photos.

Yeah, thanks Amberes.

Only thing with the Ford ones is I'd spray them gloss black.

Looking for some MK7s with the performance creations ones now.....

Those are the ones I have - I added the stickers myself and mine stick out further than most people would have them (completely adjustable)

Still not decided about the mud flaps but I have now fitted the 2012 model chrome grille slats and kick plates. Unfortunately light was fading and the kick plates not very photo friendly but here you go:

Very easy. Two self adhesive chrome strips. Clean then alcohol wipe plastic slats and stick chrome strips on.
