HI!

I want my cars doors locking automaticly, when i start driving.

What i must do?

BR,

Anti Hijack Feature

1. Turn on ignition until the dash lights come on but don't start engine!

2. Lock the door using the lever on the door handle and then unlock 3 Times

3. Turn off ignition

4. Repeat 2 but with ignition OFF

5. Turn on ignition - should hear a beep

6. Lock door again as in 2 BUT ONLY ONCE - final beep should be heard

7. Done!

Doors should now lock at around 5mph. including reverse!!!

Trying - not working!!!

On the older Fords, you had to do the whole proceedure within 30 seconds.

I will try it on mine tonight as I used to have this on my Mondeo, and quite liked it.

Yes, but 2012 focus had only one button,( 2. Lock the door using the lever on the door handle and then unlock 3 Times) - when i want door locks then i must push the button? If you understand me?

I tried it on my Mk3 and it didn't do anything. Would like to know if it's possible too as hitting the lock button has become a habit when I set off now!

How did you try this on the Mk3 as it doesn't have a lock button on the door handle ??

Do you live in such a dangerous area to need this level of security? Or is there some other reason you want to keep all the car doors locked when you are driving?

Having all the doors locked if or when you have an accident is not a good idea!

Maybe we just live a sheltered life in the country.

Tried this on my Mk2.5 , 5 times and it does not work.

found another post saying that it should be done

Ign On

Lock/unlock 3 times

Ign Off

lock/unlock 3 times

Ign On ----- Beep should be heard

Lock/unlock once ---- beep should be heard !

Neither of them work for me.

If it did work it's not really an anti jack feature , because if your stopped at lights etc the doors would open and only locked after 5mph

I used the lock button under the stereo controls - I figured it was worth a try (but deep down I knew it was unlikely to work!!)

I must press 3 times the button (lock-unlock-lock) ing on

then press 3 times (unlock-lock-unlock) ign off

and then ign on - and then i must hear a beep?

when i want to door locked then i must press the button. 2012 focus dont have door handle locking, only the button.

Is that right?

Having all the doors locked if or when you have an accident is not a good idea!

The anti hijack system is linked into the Airbag system... so in a serious accident the doors will unlock...

Plus if your in a really serious accident, the fire brigade wont hesitate to use their big air powered "Jaws of Life" to get you out....

I think it's a great feature ! During a bad accident put the window through and open door ....... Simples

Very true comments above, I would also suggest that maybe this feature is one that has to be activated by the dealer. I had it on my Cee'd and got it activated, plug into the ecu, press a button - Done! some things just cant always be done. For Example, It could be that the method above *should* work, in that, if its set on the ECU to listen then it should work, but what if the ECU isnt listening?

I would write to Ford, maybe you found a bug with their ECU software...
