Want to install a DVD/TV that drops down from ceiling of my ford focus MK1 2002.

Where do i start?? Think it would be best to get someone to do it, but not sure who to ask.

Where do i begin???

Cheers

I Looked into this before and gave up it can be done but it involued having the head lining removed wiring run from the battery etc etc cost at that time was 500 quid and youre insurance goes up.

Easier option just get one from asda etc that wraps round the headrest

If it were me, I would also go with the portable option.

While its not neat and tidy like a roof install, there's no doubt that it's cheaper, quicker, less hassle, and easily removable to deter thieves.

Plus you can always take it from car to car should you ever sell your Focus.

If you have two kids then for around £150 you could even get two of the portable players so they can watch different films - prevents arguments about what to watch.

I did fit one in a Mazda 323 SE some years back, but to be honest you are better off with a portable one with a headrest mount/strap. The problem I found is that cars of this size are not big enough. The monitor will drop down and be over the heads of the front seat passengers other wise its too close to the rear seat passengers. If you fit one in the middle, it blocks the view from the rear view mirror. If you fit it to one side it will block some of the mirrors view when down.

The weight will pull down on the headlining even with the proper brackets fitted.

We now use a tablet style Nextbase DVD player that is attached to the headrest. Much easier.

go for the portable option and get a headphone splitter so 2-3 kids can each have own headphones to listen to it.

If you know nothing to install a headrest car dvd. You can choose this kind of car dvd. What you need to do is to fix it at the headrest.
