  • 5 weeks later...

Fixed by refurbishment of the entire fuel injection system, drained the fuel lines, cleared the tank. changed the filter, refurbished fuel pump.

Aditional problem apeared after mounting the refurbished pump and injectors:

Clicking noise on low revs (1500-2200). The sound can be barely heard when the engine temperature rises a bit. After the cold start, the engine does not run smooth, and a little bit of whitegoes out.

it could be a bit of diesel knock, were the injectors recoded to the ecu when fitted?

Yes the injectors were recoded or reprogramed (THINK THIS IS THE SAME THING). Should i ask them to do this again?

it sounds like an injector problem and if you are 100% certain that the injectors were refurbed ok,i would ask if the injectors were programmed in firing order and not physical order.

Took the car to the OFFICIAL FORD GARAGE yesterday. They tried to recode/reprogram the injectors and ECU again. In my understanding, they fitted some kind of new version of factory firmware or software, coded/programed the injectors again. They also sayd that the diesel specialist that did the refurbishment is among the best in our country.

The only better option would be buying the complete new set of injectors + high pressure pump, which is more expensive than the car is worth.

Took the car back to the garage that did the repair... We will se how it goes.
