Updating Software Issues

Hi all,

I recently attempted updating the software in the Fiesta by following the instructions:

http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity.com/downloadsUpdates

However, when I turn the key, a message appears saying the update has started and is immediately followed by a message stating the update has failed and to start again.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I've checked the troubleshoot guide from ford, who recommend that the files be split and only the English files are to be left in the folder. However, the zip file that is available from the link above doesnt contain the files: English: 8M5T-14D511-AT

I may be doing someting completely wrong!

Any help will be much appreciated!

Think there is a new update out last week

files

8M5T-14D511-AU .BVC

8M5T-14D511-AU .VBF

Cannot comment if these work cos i cannot get them to work

Ive put these onto a usb stick - tried a few times and all i get is "no files on usb"

I think my problem may be something to do with the bonnet open warning being on all the time as well as seatbelt warning not bleeping and coming on

gonna try again on thursday after ive took it back to ford to fix the bonnet and seatbelt warnings

Copied the above files onto a usb, deleted everything else and voila! it worked!

are we meant to upload all those files on the link to a USB?

Or just the two files that are mentioned?
