Lenny
ok cheers for reply so i can just put them on without needing to go to garage or anything? 100% correct, but if changing from steel wheels to alloys, dont forget to fit your spigot rings to the centre of the alloys to ensure a seperation between the hub and the alloy so as they dont stick to each other. tompalmer89
sorry if being stupid, but where do i get these and what type?
Lenny
they should be on the inside of the centre cap, on the flat surface that bonds to the hub of the car, the hub is the part with the bolts on it, and you put the wheel on the hub then the bolts come through the holes on your alloy, the ring stops the alloy from bonding to the hub with rust and keeps a 1mm gap between the hub and the alloy, they may be on the alloys already or some sort of 1mm spacer that prevents a full bond to the hub like these mate, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wolfrace-Alloy-Wheel-Fitting-Kit-5-Stud-Nut-Fitting-Spigot-Rings-and-Nuts-/221010592014?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item337542010e the sit in to the centre cap on the inside of the alloy before you bolt them to the hub, and the lip on them keep a little gap between the hub and the alloy so as they always come off easy. but if you dont have these then just smear some copper grease on the face of the hub but not the nuts or bolts, just the face of the hub to keep it from bonding. johnson13
Mine is doing that and I had it plugged in to diagnostics and it is something to do with the speedos. I went to Ford and they want £450 to sort it. I have a Zetec S - Ryan Morrissey from England This is exactly what mine is doing, when I have left it overnight it won`t tick over until I have driven it for about 30 seconds, then it is fine all day. It is really frustrating because I don`t want to waste my money to find out it is nothing
