flooper
Those old fiestas were like little tanks weren't they. Lasted forever :) It was a great little thing, it did start to slowly die before my mum got rid of it though. Think it went to the scrap heap in the sky :(

stutick
Jeez! That's a bummer! Did you have any injuries? Luckily I climbed out of the hole that used to be the windscreen injury free... considering back then i never wore a seat belt. The corbeau Bucket seats i had in the car seemed to save me being thrown around. But spookily, the guy i bought the bucket seats off rolled his car on exactly the same day the year before :o

Jammin0990
My first car was a 1.0l Corsa Comfort which was affectionately named Doofus because the reg ended in DFS. Many sofa jokes were also made :P. Great wee car to get started in the world of driving but you can imagine the joy of moving up to a 1.8 focus :).
ManxKat
My first car was a 1.0l Corsa Comfort which was affectionately named Doofus because the reg ended in DFS. Many sofa jokes were also made :P. Great wee car to get started in the world of driving but you can imagine the joy of moving up to a 1.8 focus :). I can imagine that was a nice feeling. I was driving round in a Saxo VTS when I first passed my test, then my other half brought me home a 1.0l Corsa. I was not impressed!!!!! I had a go of it just to prove I would hate it, and I was right, I mean I had to change gear just to go round small bends!!!!
Jammin0990
Haha, yeah the Corsa is a hair dryer with wheels but to be fair it got me from A to B.....well eventually. Turns out electrical problems are rife in them. A problem with a lambda sensore left me at the side of the road at rush hour after college one day :/. My Focus is a warrior though. Had the same problem with the lambda sensor and a misfire on cylinder 4 but each time I've been able to limp to a garage. :)

jordan_macgregor
My first car was a 1.25 Fiesta Freestyle, loved it! Dont miss it though, its as much as i was willing to pay insurance wise but the 1.6 petrol just has enough punch for me, for now ;P I'm still not that brave when it comes to making modifications, so it was mainly cosmetic what i had done to the Fiesta, but still loved it. I'll put some new pics up of my new [had it almost a year] car, once iv finished LED lighting it to the hills!
John Jones
2002 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 I couldn't afford to drive until I was in my mid-20s, so ended up driving my partner's when I finally passed my test. It was a lovely car. It was quite a shock when I had to drive a T-reg 1.1 Peugeot 206 between that car and my current car, as I had never driven anything smaller than a 1.6, ever! It was a little pedestrian for my liking.
Fastfordman
2002 Ford Ka was only 10 months old at the time. It lasted all of two weeks before I started messing with it by changing the radio . Swapped for a brand new fiesta 1.25 finesse after 18 months as it was basic to say the least.
Preee
My first car was a Nissan Sunny , brought it real cheap as the engine had blown it was 12 months old at the time , yeah it sucked , but not as bad as when i swapped it for a Rover Vanden Plas 216 what a mistake that was haha

DaveD
1965 Singer Chamois CTK 979C (posh Hillman Imp to you). £395 in 1967 just over two years old with 18k on the clock. I could fill the six gallon tank for £1-10s (£1.50p). I bought this because I learnt to drive in a Hillman Imp, eight lessons at £1 a lesson and passed first time.
