Haz93
Finally got round to doing this lol so here goes, a few weeks after purchase: Loving the keyless push button start :P First Upgrade was DRL's random :F Next Purchased these from Sal :) With no bulbs or ballasts :o So in the box they went for a few months lol Next came the speaker system ;) Only joking, this is the Vibe audio Focus RS at the Gadget Show Live :D Next was the ELM cable and a few software mods to the car, like single push double locking, auto locking over 5mph etc.. Then came the seat covers... wait that doesn't look like my car?? lol then did the submarine lighting ( I will write up a guide at some point, looks great and only cost like 3quid from Maplins ) Can only be done if you have the following light unit One complete, sorry for lack of a good pic. I will get some night pics soon Now out come the Bi Xenons again. Purchased a D3S ballast and 6000K bulbs. The standard uses D1S ballast and bulbs but either can be used if done correctly. If anyone wants to do this mod please feel free to ask for advice. And thats it so far :) Thanks for looking
fordieashx
Wow, can I have your car? :D very nice what you've done to it, well done! And can I ask where you got your seat covers from? As I have been thinking of changing my car sometime soon and a focus zetec s is in the choice box, but I'm just picky and don't like the seats with the strips of leather down them... haha! jimrex
Very nice... I'm liking the subtleness of the mods you have done :) The seat covers are very smart, they look like standard seats rather than covers!
liam-20
looking good did the push button start come with the car? and how did you get past the auto leveling issue with xenons??

As I have been thinking of changing my car sometime soon and a focus zetec s is in the choice box, but I'm just picky and don't like the seats with the strips of leather down them... haha! Haha thanks :D yeah the seat covers were from a company called JC seatcovers http://www.jcseatcovers.co.uk/ They do tailor made seat covers, made in Italy but based by me in Birmingham. I would defiantly recommend them as you can have any colour scheme and they have a few different materials to mix and match with :) If you look on the website I have the Tiffany range, black leather with white 'insert' sections and contrast white stitching. cost £245 plus about £8 shipping!! I would of gone for the double decorative stitching but really didn't have the extra £20 to spare at the time. Also defiantly recommend the Focus Zetec S too :P With work I have had a few company cars for a few weeks at a time, such as golf 1.4 tsi, golf 1.6tdi, astra 1.7td sri, merc B class 2.0cdi, audi a4 2.0tdi, etc.. all nice cars, some better quality than the focus like the golf and the Audi, and others worse like the Vauxhall (spit) and the merc ( was really shocked with how bad this was ). But non of them had the character and 'drivability' of the Focus Hope car shopping goes well for you, just make sure if you get a zetec S its in white ;) Very nice... I'm liking the subtleness of the mods you have done :) The seat covers are very smart, they look like standard seats rather than covers! Thanks mate :) I'm not a fan of obvious over the top modifications, but pleased with how its going so far The seat covers really make a difference, had a lot of people get in and ask how much it was for brand new seats :P look really professional and much more comfy haha looking good did the push button start come with the car? and how did you get past the auto leveling issue with xenons?? Thanks :) Yeah it came with the keyless start as standard mate. at the moment they have no levelling at all :S I'm working towards the auto levelling system, asking around breakers and such as all the wiring is in place, just need the actual sensors and auto light switch. but for the moment I am going to get them working from the standard levelling adjuster

And not a bad price either considering they're made to how you want them! Yeah I would love a vw or audi, but they're just too expensive and I don't like the bog standard ones! I'd love to get a white one but I guess i'll just have to save for a while to get one! Maybe by christmas time I could afford it ^_^ I would like either a white or black one, possibly red or grey too... :D

Haz93
Okay so bit of an update. I have ordered a rain sensor module and auto dimming mirror from eBay which should come today. Also ordered the ST headlight switch with auto levelling and interior light dimmer 280854237385 160837615333 I will have to adapt the auto dimming mirror as it uses a different mount to the standard one. Apart from that i'm hoping it's going to be plug and play :)
Preee
Very nice work there Haz , its looking great.
Haz93
Okay so got the rain and light sensor plugged in today and IT WORKS!!!! Straight plug and play, however I had to adapt the mirror mount to get it to fit, also needed activating using civil's software The origional mirror is on a slider with a push down catch facing the windscreen, the auto dimming one has a circular locking mount which is twisted into place. Basically what I did was undo the two screws on the new mirror mount and this removes a 3 pin plate. Then the remaining section has 3 lumps. One fits at the lowest section of the windscreen mount and one either side. These side ones requied a grove files into them to slot over the windscreen mount. Then used a jubilee clip to hold into place. Just need a trip to Halfords now to get some windscreen mirror adhesive for the actual sensor surround. But I tested it by holding it on and my dad poured some water on the screen :D all went well. Also got the auto light switch in place and that works when the sensor is covered. Haz93
Okay so all is well with the rain and liight sensor, will get some pics soon :) Also the auto dimming mirror works a treat I'm looking for front and rear leveling sensors with wiring if possible, and also the control module. If anyone knows of any ST's breaking would be a great help or also any of the above parts would be a great help. Also the headlight washer system too Thanks :)

Haz93
Thanks mate :) Yeah there's a lot you can do to a car to improve it without ruining its looks, like most vauxhall corsa drivers do. Although cars like those don't really have much in the first place :P Might be looking at a set of the ST LED rear lights soon :)
Jay Ali
Wicked car there fella N I think da rear lights would look awesome

Haz93
Thanks mate :) Think I might get them next pay day :P Yeah sure, all in all cost me about 3 quid and a few hours fiddling. First thing to do is to find the right colour and size LED's you want. Colour is your choice but they need to be 3mm 12V LED's I got mine from maplins at about £1.50 each I'll do a guide later on, with some pics :)

Haz93
Thanks guys :) Liam, Yeah I've seen some ST's and RS's with them on and they really do make an improvement Oxide, They came as an all in one unit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Focus-2009-MK3-ST-DAYTIME-RUNNING-LIGHTS-DRL-REPLACEMENT-FOG-GRILLE-/271055950099?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AFocus&hash=item3f1c319113 I have now posted a Guide on fitting the submarine style lighting in the Guides section. Haz93
Just seen this on the mountune website http://www.mountunestore.com/Product/Billet--Short-Shift--arm £165 for a short shift arm. I feel the standard set up has quite alot of movement compared to other cars ie. golf, audi, toyota to name a few others I have driven. not sure if its worth 165 quid but would defo consider if I had money tree :D
Haz93
Okay I have purchased the parts for the foot well lights as its cheap and a feature I want too :) Is it best to wire them in series or parallel??
