Im sure everyone here knows about track days for people that want to drive the own car round a race track, but they are very expensive and most people can't afford that sort of money

but me and a friend have just finished a something called a taster session which for £25 (£35 if you need to hire a helmet) gives you 20mins hammering it round and having a laugh. It was easily the best £25 ive ever spent so i just wanted to let all others know about them

you can do them at and MSV race track in the country

I've always loved the idea of doing these, but you are left completely uninsured :/

I wouldn't trust myself, lol.

I felt the same, was very nervous when i signed up but when i got down there i realised its actually really safe, they give you a full safety briefing and if you act to silly they pull you off calm you down and let you go back out, i did mine at brands hatch and the run off areas are huge, so even if you did get unlucky you get some room to get yourself out of trouble

you can also get specialist track day insurance now, atho it isnt cheap. its cheaper than repairing your car once its been into a barrier/ gravel trap.

another thing, keep looking at last minuite deals for track days/nights. last minuite deals go very cheap sometimes

I enjoy Bedford Autodrome personally, done quite a few track days (though only 1 in the Fiesta) and they're good fun, and you have practically no chance of hitting anything really.
