GMB
The windscreen wiper, when set on continuous wipe, goes onto intermittent wipe whenever the car stops at junctions, traffic lights etc. The dealership said all Fords are the same in that the windscreen wiper, when set on continuous wipe, goes onto intermittent wipe whenever the car stops at junctions, traffic lights etc Is this meant to happen? Haz93
Hi mate, Yeah my focus is exactly the same, every time the car stops, it sets the wipers to intermittent. It doesn't change auto wipers though, just decreases the sensitivity until you pull off
Stoney871
If you want to cancel intermittent wipe on idle just flick up to fast wipe and back to normal again. Works until you idle again.
GMB
It doesn't work like that on my car, but I got in touch with Ford and this was their reply, from an Andrea Gifford from Ford Information Service: "With regards to your query I have spoken with our Mondeo product specialist who has advised this should not be happening with the normal wipers, therefore assuming you have a Titanium or high series e.g. Not Edge, or Zetec based"? As the car is a Titainium X im about to get in touch with the dealer who said that all mondeos were like that, so either Ford or the dealer needs updateing.
