Stoney871 Posted September 14, 2012 Share Posted September 14, 2012 A flashing glowplug light means a major error and you should pull over immediately. Intermittent flashing may well be a clogged fuel or air filter. As stated above, get a diagnostic done as a matter of urgency before something serious rears it's ugly head. bitsandpcs Posted September 15, 2012 Author Share Posted September 15, 2012 Have had it looked at by a friend and the fault h who plugged it into his diagnostics unit and no codes came up he said, have driven the car around for the past two days and the fault hasnt happen so confused.com. swhite87 Posted September 16, 2012 Share Posted September 16, 2012 when the light flashes have you got a total loss of power without the engine dieing? if so the most probable cause is likely to be a faulty throttle position sensor that unfortunately does not always show a fault code. it is an easy enough fix though as all you need to do is the replace the throttle pedal assembly (3 bolts and 1 wiring plug) price can vary from £20 to about £80 / £90 depending if you go for a new or second hand pedal.
