oilburner79
I bet it can be done and you can be pretty sure someone is working on it as we speak
artscot79
it will be possible but on such a small engine i wouldnt as yet no one knows how much power is too much for the wee engine to cope with
btmaldon
I cant see the point. Why would someone buy a brand new car with a just released economically designed engine and want to change it. If it wasn't powerful enough I would have bought a different model. I could understand it on an older car or one ive owned for a couple of years. salsheikh
i read somewhere that the ford engineers got 200bhp out of it without any hardware alterations. if i can find the link i will post it up,
salsheikh
found it: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2012/09/ford-formula-racer-with-202hp-10-liter.html now go and build your kit car and plant the 1.0 engine in it
Preee
found it: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2012/09/ford-formula-racer-with-202hp-10-liter.html now go and build your kit car and plant the 1.0 engine in it Amazing what they can do with that engine , but i agree with the posts further up. Why buy it in the first place if you think its not fast enough ,they may have got 200 bhp out of it but i bet it would not last very long at all , and if that tuned engine was placed in a normal car it would not have the same outcome.
