Check the water pump is working fully, Ford fit plastic impellers and these can fall apart.

If the pumps not working the fan stat won't see the temperature and come on.

Also try changing the expansion tank cap. If its not holding the pressure the coolant will boil at a lower temp, wont circulate properly and cause hot and cold spots that would also stop your fan kicking in.

Where does the coolant go? If it is escaping past the expansion tank cap then that is almost certainly the problem.

hi,ive removed the water pump and its ok,,temp switch, remove plug when running fan kicks in so replaced switch, water system has been blead ok,,,when running engine and its gets to temp and header tank starts throwing all its water out,,stats ok testerd it with boilling water, opens ok,,,think might be a cracked head due to getting up to temp,,but saying that it wasnt run for long with no water in,,as its a cast head ive heard of no damage to theses heads,,just seems funny that soon as it gets to temp it throws is water out,,also ive replaced the heater control valve,,,,is it that soon as you bleed the water system you have to refit the header tank cap,so you seal the system on engine run up,..when the water starts coming out its bubbling at high temp with no header tank cap on

Well it will do if the cap is off. There isnt any pressure so the coolant will boil at 100 degrees C when it should be able to cope with it at 120 degrees C without boiling whilst pressurised. Try changing the cap for a new one. They should be changed regularly anyway.

If its still over pressurising your radiator may have a blocakage or the hose to the pump may have collapsed inside.
