How to remove gear knob on NEW Fiesta ?

does anyone know how to remove the gear stick knon on a brand new fiesta please ?.

i'd like to replace the standard one on my Zetec with an illuminated one that Ford sell as an accessory.

Turn it counterclockwise??? I don't know about Ford but jap cars usually have a threaded knob. ;)
