I Asked Car Dealer They Said We Don't Have In Records For Key Code

I bought a used ford focus 2006 from Dubai and exported to Muscat, Oman

I got only 1 key with the remote but now I have a problem key remote flow down in luggage compartment and locked now its not opening anymore we try with the help of key maker experts but no success except one can make duplicate key but it require KEY CODE. I asked car dealer in Dubai they said we don't have in records now how can I open my car without braking the glass....

Sounds like you dont have much of an option, other than a specialist auto electrician / key cutter, the could hack the car in essence and generate you a new key, but it sounds like your struggling to get to the remit beyond a brick in the window :(

If you have windscreen cover on your insurance,

Then you are entitled to a free windscreen replacment if it comes time to choose a window mate.

But when you get hold of the key,

You can programme a second key to unlock the car by yourself.

I have learnt that Ford are not particularly useful. Just make sure you do not lose the key code for your locking nuts otherwise you will be drilling them out!

well i got the info from ford etis site http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleSelection.do#

if i can get that then the dealers can get the codes go back and tell them or call them and make them look it up if they ignore you call ford head office

I did contact. They said they don't store those codes. Fortunately I found my code, but I thought it was rather strange. £30 for a nut key. I never thought Ford would be more expensive than BMW :P
