Winter Related Gremlins

The drivers door on my focus seems not to like the cold snap we're having.

It seems that when the temp is below 4 degrees the wing mirror and central locking stops working. Once the car has warmed up they work again.

Anyone else have some little niggles like this in the winter?

sounds like water ingress somewhere on the door, might be worth spraying the lock, and the joints generously with WD40 or another silicone based product to eject any moisture that has built up?

My mk1 would do that for that you take the top screw out of the door lock spray wd40 in a downwards angle 45degrees replace screw and solved my issue as for mk2 not had any issues

my passenger door froze the other week. not the central locking, but the latch didnt even shut the door, it just bounced back.

spray of WD40 and a concoction of other spray lubes in the garage sorted it!

..now my biggest problem seems to be the windscreen washer freezing!

if you have a Shell petrol ststion they sell screen wash that when used pure is good to minus 26 ive got it in mine and minus 6 is the coldest so far and its never froze
