Differences Between Ford Focus 2008 Vs 2009?

Hi all,

Firstly hello to you all, its my first post and just joined! B)

I am also now a proud owner of a Ford Focus 2008 Zetec 1.6 (mk2?) from a Ford Fiesta 2001 model

Anyhow, I am just wondering if there are any differences between the Ford Focus 2008/2009?

I got the Ford from Dagenham motors, and they said there is nothing really between the two other than 6 months from manufacture?

For my peace of mind, is there much difference between these models?

Mk2.5 is 2008-2010

Centre console changed in 2009 slightly and the stereo became oval shaped.

Ford also fitted chrome to the steering wheel and a battery lid,

But the chassie and mechanics are the same from 2005-2010 except for introduction of DPF in 2008 on diesel models.

The Mk 2.5 (Facelift) was introduced in the later part of 2008, the body is different to the Mk2. Flat doors, no bump strip, raised bonnet line, indicator repeaters in the wing mirrors, different front grill to name just some. Some changes also inside to the cabin. Stoney should be able to post photos, he's good at that.

Just seen your link, if that's like yours it's a Mk 2.5 (Facelift). Very little change to the 2009 car.

Bear in mind that some people would also describe them as MK 1, MK 2, MK 3, MK 4 and MK 5, mostly on eBay so if looking for parts always confirm they're for the right model/year.

None of these references are recognised by Ford.
