Mk7 Fiesta Repair Prices?

Hi all, I'm new to the forums so excuse me if a say anything stupid...

My Fiesta has been involved in an accident recently involving only my car, and there is some substantial cosmetic damage. What I wanted to know was if anyone here on the forums has had any respraying done to the car and any body parts replaced, and if so how much it would cost. The areas in need of a respray would be the entire front end of the car, so wings, bonnet and doors, also the roof. My second question is how much it will cost to buy, spray and fit a new front bumper and grille to my car. All the work would be done either at a local garage professionally, or by Ford themselves. Other than this damage, there is no mechanical damage at all and the car runs fine. I think I'm quite lucky about that!

Any help to do with prices or anything else would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Skip Ford, they'll just use a body shop and charge their middleman fee.

Honestly that is not going to be cheap, the roof is damaged how exactly?

The rest, might be worth asking a breaker's on how much they'd charge for parts first, as it might be cheaper. New bumper and grill possibly £150 for a mint one. Bonnet around £120 as a guess, wings probably close to the £40 mark each and doors might set you back about £120 - £150 a piece depending on if you're a 3 or 5 door car.

What colour would you be looking for?

With that amount of parts, you're getting mightily close to a write off :/

I personally have repaired my fiesta, this involved repairing all the parts you have mentioned- including the roof.

Search for my "fiesta mk7 restored"

Straight to figures:

If the airbags have deployed thats nearly a thousand itself for dashboard/ airbags and ecu and seatbelts

Roof- is the worst panel to damage, the entire skin must be removed which is very ardous and time consuming, the interior lining and glass must be removed also for this

This is well over a thousand also.

On top spraying is making this around £1300 at best

The wings are a pain to remove- this also needs a specialist to remove the triangular glass above the wings to allow full access to bolts to remove the wings-

The bonnet and bumper and lights are easy enough- however the parts alone are expensive and labour for this is not cheap as it is hours of work to remove and replace the front end. Parts plus spraying here is around another thousand-

Chances are it will need the chassis legs straightening on a jig this is a specialist job and is not cheap.

Unfortunatley with these kind of jobs not only parts and the spraying add to the hefty bill its the bits that are not expected like:

glass removal,

ecu resetting,

and removal of other parts to access otherwise inaccessible areas of the car that will hike an already incredible bill to near eye watering costs.

If i can give any more information i would be happy to do so

Yeah, I was thinking just with body work alone it's around £2,000 at a minimum, then chassis restoration can be pricey.

Even doing all this yourself, you're going to be looking at a bill close to £3,000. Your best bet is to go to a body work specialist, see what they'll charge and go from there, but it'll be expensive.

Probably cheaper just to declare the vehicle a write off. Even though you say that's the only damage, there could still be engine parts damaged, suspension parts damaged, mounts damaged and so on, so it's going to be pricey with just those, and if it's out of alignment as soon as it hits MOT time it'll fail badly.

Thanks for the replies, and sorry I haven't been able to respond, haven't had much free time recently.

I think my first post made it seem like there is more damage than there actually is. This time i will attach pictures of the damage to explain a little better. The damage is as follows...

Front Bumper:

Front Wing

Grille Damage

Completely Broken WingMirror

In response to the person who asked what the damage to the roof was, it is only paintwork damage, hence why I asked about re-spraying :) There is no mechanical damage that I can see or feel, I guess the garage will be the judge of that though...

Hopefully this clears up confusion from my first post. Also, I looked on the Ford Parts website and found the price of the bumper and grille...

(Bumper)

http://www.fordparts...3519_c_1030.htm

(Grille)

http://www.fordparts...32210_c_418.htm

This all seems quite expensive... *sigh*, Are these the sort of prices for parts I should be expecting to hear from the bodyshop? And now you've seen the damage in the pictures above, are the prices you guys said above still correct?

Thanks again for the help :)

If you don't mind me asking what did you hit and going how fast. It doesn't look to serious biggest bill will be painting everything

The bumper and grill seem cheap enough might get them a bit less from a breakers yard

Wing mirror £60 plus painting the cover seen them for a bit less on eBay

You're gonna need a new front bumper, which usually come with the grilles, the wing might be repairable by a decent shop actually. The Mirror is cheap enough from a breaker as well.

What about the roof and bonnet damage?
