What Code Reader Do I Need? *please Help*

Hello all,

I am new to all this posting. Basically I would like to know what code reader I need for my car. I have got a ford focus lx mk1 W reg so 2000 model. Some one please help me as I can not find this information in the owners manual. I have attached some pictures. Cheers!

didnt these change on the 2000/2001 model? from what ive just read focus's were obd2 port compatable from the start, and the elm 327 should be compatable (not guarenteed) due to the different protocol that ford uses on the change over.....

yup i believe the focus was OBD-II compliant from the start. certainly any i have used a code reader on have been compatible.

Really it depends on your budget and what your looking to get for your money. are you looking to have only code reading ability? or are you looking for live data too?

At the moment I am just looking around. I am probably just going to get a code reader, because I have seen a few for cheap on eBay. Thanks the help.
