Jason 'Tweek' Batty
U might be best trying to take the bumper off completely to get to the grill. I took apart a front bumper this weekend (it was already off the car) and took the grilles off. They where clipped in all over it and were a pain in the A*&^ to get off. But like you said, if weather is nice try and spray them on the car, seems easier.

dohboy78
Been busy this morning. Had a physio appointment at 09:10. !Removed! hell I nearly cried!! Got home and started prepping the car for primer. Then primered the grills, fogs etc etc. Strange thing is the plastic primer is clear... weird. Giving it a few hours to go off... then topcoating! dohboy78
Just finished the top coats... Some with all the masking paper out the way... Going to let it all dry overnight then start reassembling. Now do I keep the foglights all black or put the chrome rings back on??
Jason 'Tweek' Batty
Do away with the chrome.

dohboy78
Carbon wrap them. The rings?? Interesting. Think they would be a bugger to do. But might be worth a shot?
Stoney871
Or even get them dipped?
dohboy78
So was going to put all the plastics back on... but the finish wasnot as good as I thought, bit orange peeley. So flattened it back andre-sprayed the fogs, upper grill etc etc. But I did manage to fit the lower grill, parking sensors and re-fit the surround. Should be able to re-fit everything tomorrow weather permitting.

Stoney871
Rings on mate, makes a sharp contrast. Maybe paint them gunmetal though?
Mr Singh
love the car so far... a little unsure about the RS wheels. prefer the original titanium x wheels personally
Lenny
Looks fantastic mate, I like the chrome rings on, I've had my fog surrounds done gloss black too and have the chrome rings for contrast, Wrapping the lip would also protect it from stone chip etc.
dohboy78
Bit more of an update...DMB Badges on, chrome foglight surrounds on and 4 wheel laser alignment sorted!Nearly done... wrapping the lower lip soon...
dohboy78
Latest update... Now have Panther Black wing mirrors. (Pics up soon) But... got a load of stones thrown up by a truck t'other day and have lost some paint off my fogs and upper grill lip. So I am going to redo them in Panther Black and a load of lacquer. At the same time noticed one of my wheel badges had dissapeared... luckily I have 4 spares... now 3! Also... Might be getting the Collins remap on monday!! Just need the nod from the big man.

dohboy78
Well this week has not been so good for the Mondeo! Firstly the paint spraying went !Removed! up and looks horrible. So have given everything to my little bro who is a spray tech to get it sorted properly. Secondly, went for the remap only to discover that it is not yet possible to do mine through the OBD port. Only option at the minute is for ECU removal and remap. But talking big bucks and a long !Removed! journey to boot! Instead I have ordered a K&N panel filter... Could not find an induction kit for the 2.2! Oh well, got some spare cash now for something else.
dohboy78
Few pics of the Panther Black Mirrors, Fogs and Bonnet Trims... (Please excuse the bug splatter!) Have ordered a K&N panel filter... just waiting delivery. Thinking next might be an upgraded intercooler, seeing as I can't afford to get the ECU out and mapped.
