I went for mods that were subtle and not lairy/boy racerish.

I didn't want my car to look like i'd sprayed it with contact adhesive and crashed it through the window of my local Halfords ;)

its a perforated vinyl that you wrap head light units etc with to give the effect of being tinted black when you look at it from a distance. Its perforated to still allow most of the light to shine through

i can vouch that it'll pass the mot no problems cause i used to have it on mine before i fitted me new black head light units

My Favourite modification to date is;

ECU Remap

But if the car had been 125bhp as standard, then id not have gotten a remap and id be saying the exhaust.

30bhp from the remap plus 5bhp I reckon from the performance duplex and induction filter.

The place I went to get the exhaust fitted offered ecu remaps,

So they connected to my ecu via the OBD to copy the ecu file,

They then emailed the file to some place in germany I think it was,

Germany then edit the file and email back to them,

They then load it on to the ecu via the OBD port,

Give me a passenger seat test drive.

And charged me 280euro

Says 120bhp 278nm Torque,

Forgot to mention ive painted the front calipers red, so I should add 25bhp to the iniital figure for that lol

If I was remapping again,

Id buy a bluefin and do it myself, this way the bluefin stores the original ecu map on it for easy stock setting return.

But fuel saving is now at 62km per Gallon.

I love the Mk6 some great mods available and a tidy motor to begin with and for tuning as theirs no dpf (crack of thunder)

Well im torn between a mk1 Focus RS, a mk2 focus ST (similar price range) or whether to go all out and get the new focus ST2 on finance :/ decisions decisions lol. I definatly want something with alot more power though. Ive made aload of visual mods on my mk6 but its only a 1.3 LX so there isn't much point doing any perormance mods. Its been the first car ive ever done any mods to and IMO i think it looks pretty decent but theres just no ooomph when driving it lol

Id personally go for the mk2 st mate,

Better chassie and more mods than the mk1 RS

Duplex exhaust as standard too and an easy upgrade to mk2.5 body styling if you ever decided to.

I like the mk 1 RS if I can find one thats not had loads of mods done to it I think id personally go for that but they're few and far between. I like the RS both mk1 and mk2 but I'm not in favour of the bucket seat styling looks like they were designed by a 12 year old school boy,

St leather interior seats lookmuch better or even some bride bucket seats but not the rs ones lol

The new st is nice too but mk2 st got better reviews on both Topgear and fifth gear.

The Focus RS MK1 is a very good handling car, and lighter, more track-orientated and probably sharper than the Focus ST mk2

It is possible to bring an ST mk2 to close to RS mk2 spec

Focus ST mk2 222bhp 1392kgs 141mph 6.5secs 0-60mph

Focus RS mk2 301bhp 1467kgs 163mph 5.9secs 0-60mph

Focus ST mk2 Mountune kit = 260hp

Not everyone wants their performance car kitted out with all the junk of the day like a Merc S class or a lexus

Just a matter of personal taste

I probably wouldnt do anything like that at first anyway i mean theres going to be a big increase in power going from a 1.3 fiesta to any of the cars im looking at lol from a zero start my younger brothers rustheap of a c***a accellerates faster than my fiesta :( lol
