Lenny
Home from FordFair 2013 Back in work today at 23:00 Weather was great, Only took 35litres of Diesel to get there and back too, very happy stilll got 20litres to burn lol Met some very nice people and some beautiful fords well worth the journey. This build thread is now complete until November or perhaps forever who knows. One thing I do know though is lenny has to go in search of a life outside of the blue oval Its been a fantastic 3 years of modification and furfilling my dreams, I never anticipated getting this far with it and I thank many of you guys for assistance and knowlege But sadly it is now time to turn the key on the build for a few months atleast I'll see how it goes in november, If I was to go further then modifications would be: Upgrade intercooler Upgrade front brakes Hybrid turbo Remap to 144bhp Upgrade Clutch ST front bumper ST rear bumper St exhaust tips TrippleRcomposites front splitter for ST Front Wind deflectors Zetec S pedals K&N57s induction Chrome radiator resivour The thoughts of fitting all of the above is exciting and having a 140ps 1.6TDCi would be classic but the cost of modification may not be worth going for, My journey to work is 13 miles each way and is now permanent so the idea of somthing petrol and a bit more power appeals

You take care and Have a good break Lenny Kind regards Ollie Thanks Ollie, I'll keep an eye on the forum to get updates on your builds, It is difficult to stop after three years of non stop purchasing and planning but its reached its peak for what it is. After seeing all the ST and RS at ford fair im beginning to miss petrol and the flutter of turbo. absolutely amazing mate! you must be so proud looking at the difference over the years - great to see how happy you are! i hate to say this, but i can see you getting bored of watching your bank balance rise and start upgrading! hahaa Thanks Aldoo, At this stage with the car so far progressed, I feel like its not really happening I must have bumped my head and now in comma lol Chasing dreams is fun and furfilling but when complete, what is a man to do with his time, I've got 2 kids too and summers here so holidays are on the plan aswell as a new TV lol Got my driving test next week aswell lmao Can't wait to see the testers face when I pull up, stripes and all ;) I should have applied long ago, driving 5 years now been too busy modding lol She looked well at Portrush on Sunday. Was nice to put a face to the name too! Thanks Stuart, I called over to see ya later on Sunday but you wernt there at the time, Then I looked over around 17:00 and your cars were gone, Your motor was looking tidy and good display location, nice job on the Mk5 rear diffuser on silver fiesta too, I didn't take enough pictures of cars, It was difficult at times with so many people around them I was hoping to get to the Portrush show, but it wasn't to be. She looks well mate! Thanks Andy, Sorry to hear you couldn't make it good to hear you injoyed the show fella and have for filled your moding ideas. the car is a real credit to you and injoy your break Thanks very much, I'll keep in touch and can be emailed any time leonard.Woods@live.ie Car looks sweet at the show mate, glad the weatehr held up for it. fair play on all the mods mate car looks "Bang Tidy" :)Thanks Stephen,Hopfully get togeather ourselves this year for an all ireland meet too.
FOCA
It seems like the fair had quite an effect on you like you have seen something, had an epithany and your perspective has changed, Lenny, is there a particular car/ cars you saw that did this or was it the whole thing?
Lenny
It seems like the fair had quite an effect on you like you have seen something, had an epithany and your perspective has changed, Lenny, is there a particular car/ cars you saw that did this or was it the whole thing? Id have to say; it was the whole thing mate,RS and ST focus everywhere aswell as escorts all turbo petrol and sounding sweet with the dump valve and exhaust tone. I know the fuel costs out way the enjoyment but they looked awsome lol I look at what I've spent on my focus and for all the mods its only 120bhp compared to the power witnessed its not much. I then look at increasing power; what can I do to get the most from my 1.6TDCi Well I found a hybrid turbo, upgrade clutch and intercooler along with remap and dpf removal will bring it up to around 140bhp But that would cost a further 2,200 Gbp to complete and although it would be special, it still wouldn't perform like an ST I think my focus has reached its limit, I must say though; the eibachs and 18's have made it really fun on the bends. And currently getting 63.4Mpg The only mods I have planned now are ST front and rear bumpers with TripleRcomposites front splitter, I think the 1 piece panels will look better than the attached.

.Ryan
What size stickers did you go for Lenny?
Lenny
What size stickers did you go for Lenny?Hi mate the Invoice says: Ford 300mm Colour: silver metallic Application: External Custom Text: [www.FordOwnersClub.com ] Qty: 3 Cost: £9.75 When typing www.FordOwnersClub.com in to the box for them to print it; Don't forget to make the F, O and C. In capital letters the same as I have done on mine makes it stand out better IMO breaks up the text for quick reading. Update, i decided to have a try at painting the embossed print on the engine cover, i masked the area pressing the masking tape heavily around the endented text, i then got a soft sanding disc fitted to the top of the dremil and set the speed to the lowest possible, i then began sanding the layer of masking tape and paint from the text on the engine cover, resulting in the surrounding area retaining the masked surface. now fitted in place my next search is for some ford blue and a syringe to fill in the areas surrounding the silver ford logo inside the oval on the engine cover.

Lenny
Now we can see the engine cover you worked on :P Lenny that looks !Removed! great, your patients must be really good ... Fair play to you .... honestly thats spot on !!!!! lol thanks mate,Took some figuring out on how to avoid spraying over the wrong areas but the sanding disc on the dremil sort of melted a thin top layer of plastic to the tape when sand down, so it really helped the outcome The red paint used is from Renault lol was the only red available in my local motor factors, Next I need an ink cartridge refill Syringe and some ford badge blue to inject a small layer in to the ford logo Hopefully allow the silver ford stay above the layer of blue.
