Devon_Mart
Hi there. New to this forum as you can see! Anyhow, I have an Irish import '96 Diesel (non turbo) Estate that I have just spent four days welding up. I've fixed about everything that needed doing and just want a bit of advice for the final hurdle. The ABS light came on the other day. Is it likely to be the sensor? I have replaced the CV on one side and the CV boot on the other so there has been a bit of disturbance there. Also, does the Irish model have lots of extras as mine has 6disc multi Cd, heated windscreen, electric front windows, Central locking, etc. My 1.6lx of a long time ago never had most of this! Devon_Mart
Well, thankfully I managed to sort out the ABS light, as expected... A quick sanding down of the ring (On the CV) and a clean of both the front sensors did clear the fault and it now has it's mot! Also, does the Irish model have lots of extras as mine has 6disc multi Cd, heated windscreen, electric front windows, Central locking, etc. My 1.6lx of a long time ago never had most of this! Still no idea about the Irish/English spec difference though.
