Hi there, I've just got a 2010 fiesta Titanium and I was hoping someone on here can tell me what the red ball is on the top centre of the dash board? I can find anything anywhere to tell me what it is or what it does?

Does it flash when the cars locked?

No, I thought it might of had something to do with the alarm but a red light flashes near the dash clocks with the doors locked.

Don't hold me to this, I'm sure someone else will be along with a decent answer soon, but I believe it's something to do with the climate control, sunlight sensor rings a bell.

I have one on both my other cars and always thought it was the sensor for the auto lights ?

Auto headlights and wipers are both in a unit attached to the rear view mirror, that little thing's for the climate control :P

Thought the climate sensor lived behind the four small slots to the right of the centre console behind the wheel

My Zetec has got the box behind the mirror (no wiring coming from it) and this ball but hasn't got auto wipers/headlights or auto climate

Do anyone think it's anything to do with the radio or bluetooth?

Nope!

Just to settle this, it is indeed a sensor for climate control ;)
