1.25 initial throttle responsw

Anyone notice with their 1.25 MK6 that upon normal pull away there seems to be a slight lack of throttle response, on that initial throttle opening as it were, where the car could easily(and has done)stall, so you just have to give it that extra bit of throttle.

yeppp. i got that on my mk6 55 plate fiesta, and was the reason why i traded it in back to ford to swap it for a 07 plate 1.4 and an then swapped that back for my latest new 58 plate fiesta.. with more power an more gadgets

I'm just wondering... with all this swapping for newer models you've been doing... has it hit your wallet hard?

I was under the impression that once your car has left the garage it's value goes down £1000!

The reason i ask is because i bought a Ford Fiesta a couple of months ago and im already bored of it. I would like something else but i don't want to go taking it back and losing a grand or more ! then have to pay the extra money for a better car!

Mine's happening only in 2nd gear. Never on the 1st, 3rd,etc...My solution: Use the first gear up to 3000rpm before shifting to 2nd, thus gaining more momentum to the car. Flat spot no more.

I know what you're saying, however I going to investigate this myself at some point, as it's my wife's car I'll need to get my hands on it for a day or so!!, if I find a solution I'll let you know ;)
