Hi I have a ford fiesta with a durashift gearbox & the engine light has come on I have had it put on the computer thing & the guy told me it is a Landis sensor ? The problem with the car is now when on a hill etc it use to hold and not roll back but now it doesn't and rolls back etc. Is this a Landis Sensor & if so how much will it cost to fix or is it easy enough to do myself ?

Cheers Mike

think you might mean lambda sensor, cost depends on quality of sensor if it needs renewal...

will have no bearing on the hill problem...not really sure what you mean by this anyway.

if your referring to being in auto mode yet rolls down hill when in gear..not a great idea to use the box to hold it on a hill anyway, not doing box any favours by doing this...

not a fan of durashift, but not sure it works as a true auto anyway, but other owners might be more informative in that respect...but as i understand it, even in auto mode, when you brake to a stop, clutch will be activated, so would roll back if on a hill....

maybe ive misunderstood your symptoms
