What Have You Done With Your Car Today?

I previously owned a Volvo S40 and one of the forums I followed had a thread called "What have you done with your Car today?"

This thread was for people to post absolutely anything they wanted whether I was a service, a repair, modification, detail or purchase of new car, It ended up with about 90 pages of posts by the time I stopped following it.

I thought this might be a good idea so thought I'd share mine first.

Today I installed a hole-less rear parking sensor kit. The link for the kit I used is below.

http://www.parkingdynamics.co.uk/Universal-Sensors/Parking-Dynamics-PD1/Parking-Dynamics-PD1-Parking-Sensor

Installation took about an hour or so a was very simple to do, the instructions were clear to follow and quick google gave me the info I needed about where to feed the wire through the rear luggage compartment.

I also created a ZS photo folder for the pictures of my car to-date and had a little go at photo shopping some black side mirrors and side stripes (See Pic)

Just wanted peoples feedback on what they thought of black mirror caps and side stripes....

I like the idea of this thread and I shall use it well (assuming I ever do anything with my car any more!)

I'm not generally a fan of stripes and highlights on a car, but I do think those you have done kind of suit your car. If you were to get those done it could work!

I like the stripes, maybe a little bit smaller, not so wide. You want to, notice them, not see them straight away... If that makes sense, think they look good on the red ZS.

Yes my bike club have the same, they have "what have you done to your Bike today, and a general one "what have you done today" for anything else that matters....

But i did take my car down to the jet wash after "something" decided to take the biggest poo over the bonnet, windscreen and wipers!!! So if the weather holds up tomorrow i will be back here on the spit and polish my car is going to get, and its the cars first one since i picked it up 2 weeks ago!

Cannot wait... :D :D

Don't do the stripes. but wrapping the mirrows in a carbon effect would look good.

Drove to work and as i have a spare admin hour i may try getting around to fitting my newly acquired RS carbon ashtray in place of my boring grey one.

Ah, there we go, much better now.

In a couple of those photos it looks like you've photo shopped chrome around the windows....I don't like that at all. Not a fan on the black stripes either, although the mirror caps in black could work...just my opinion.

No photoshopping of chrome done here, must just have been the lighting and my poor quality camera. I like the idea of the mirror caps just wasn't too sure if they'd look out of place without stripes and I think it'd be the s1600 type stripes I'd go for as they look quite classy.

I admired the Beading from the Colonite #845 applied 6 weeks ago, this is the first time I've really seen rain on her...

Nah I think the S1600 stripes are a bit too much overkill, kind of "look at me, look at me!"

Those black ones are more understated.

Crikey, did you get a mortgage for those :P

I've ordered myself some lockwood ZS ones for about the £30 quid mark. Also, my ram air induction pipe for the K&N panel filter has arrived so will be fitting that later this week in preperation for the Mongoose exhaust install.

I happened to know where a pair where hidden away :P

As for the hill assist, I find it pretty good if honest.

Don't suppose there were two pairs? Lol!

I hadn't really noticed the hill start assist. What's the principle behind it?

Nope, only had 1 Metal at the breakers :P

And basically, hold the break on as you're on the hill, when you pull off the break to accelerate, it holds the break on.
