Stoney871
Yes you can, you just need to source a new flip key off eBay and then call on a local Auto locksmith to cut and code it for you. Key probably about £30 and Locksmith can be up to £80 (ring a few for best quotes). If you were to ask at a Ford dealer they would probably say - It can't be done They can do it but you'd have to buy the key from them as they won't cut and code self sourced keys If you buy from Ford then for supplying the key, cutting, coding, etc. you're looking more like £240 plus they have this annoying habit of insisting on a diagnostic before they do anything with your car (another £80+). So going via eBay and finding your own key suddenly looks more of a bargain ;) Cutting takes a couple of minutes tops and coding for central locking/immobiliser no more than a minute, (Ford will charge an hours labour minimum) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-FORD-3-BUTTON-REMOTE-FLIP-KEY-29-99-/111028891309?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item19d9d66ead
trikidy
There is a guy whose number I found on the moneysavingforums, he is a specialist at cutting Ford keys and is very good. He cut me another remote locking and another spare key without central locking for £150, plus he comes to your house. I'd ask him as the amount of kit he has is amazing, his number is 07860234660
hubby1959
I made my own from a standard 3 button remote, it started out like this: And ended up like this: How it works, once you have the flip key case, you need to have the key blade cut to your car, then open both the new case and your standard 3 button remote key, transfer All the parts, including the battery terminals and transponder chip from one case to the other, re-assemble and away you go, there's no need to have the car programmed or even to re-sync the remote to your car, as the internals were from your original key to start with
