monty187
hi all, My 2005 MK2 Titanium Focus its chugging a bit sometimes at lower revs, also over this past few weeks it has been loosing power every so often, almost like the turbo is stopping. A stop and restart resolves the issue. I think it could be the egr valve or the turbo reading online. If it is any ideas how much to fix. Also can the egr valve be fitted or cleaned by anyone or is it too complicated? If not how much for part and any info on doing this? Cheers Michael
sr-performance
Hiya michael, does sound like EGR valve, not an hard job to do yourself if your up to it? if not it shouldn't cost much for a local garage to strip and clean it. also once a month put a bottle of diesel injector cleaner in your fuel tank. hope this helps ya mate... steve www.sr-performance.co.uk
monty187
Thanks for that Steve, i was worried it would break the bank. I like to attempt most stuff myself, do you know anywhere would have a guide for this or could you give me one? Will the injector cleaner stop it in future? Thanks again, Michael
