im going to buy a streetka & was wondering if they are a good car or not?

do they have common faults?

thanks

i think most cars have some common faults one way or another, checking everything works before you buy , test driving it , who you buy it from , trade or private , buying from the trade offers you more protection. heres some web sites for you to look at , hope they might be of help , some have customer reveiws on the stree ka.

One major fault is a small petrol tank and they are damn thirsty on petrol.

I think they are great wee cars, very stylish & rarely have we seen another with a hardtop!

Its a quick wee roadster & nippy for driving around town, for the money I think its good value!

Even better when the sun comes out its open top driving........ :P

We have the heated leather seats which looks cool & a good sound system.

If you want a fun car it ticks all the right boxes.

That's good. I'm planning get one for my son before the school starts. So how was the feeling driving it? Any problem that you encountered so far?

I just bought my Wife a 2003 Streetka Winter edition with 65,000 miles on the clock..Nice little car. We had it serviced goes well and is fun...A fault has developed where the heater shoots out hot air even in the fully cold position. Our local garage fitted a new heater valve and said that would cure it....But after a couple of drives it has started again...Has anyone any ideas what is causing this? Many thanks.

Make sure they fit a Ford Original heater control valve.  Non-originals don't always last very long (like mine lasted 2 months).
