Respray, No Shine

decided to respray the door on car to remove a lot of scratches, follow ing instructions on cans, but cannot get the shine back.

i rubbed down with 1200 wet@dry and sprayed on several coats of paint.

after a week rubbed down with 1200wet@dry and sprayed on laquer.

after a week rubbed down with 1200 wet@dry using plenty of water

polished the door and no shine, and looking very dull.

where did i go wrong.thanks for any help :(

Try more layers of lacquer, that's what adds the depth to the shine.

i never wet and dry laquer thats why theres no shine t cut it yes

Did you use primer?

When I resprayed my bumper I had to resand every single coat I applied before adding another. Arduous but it had to be done!

i would ask a experienced sprayer as i know some of them thin out the laquer on the final coat with thinners thats of course if there doing it with a spray gun .out of cans id say like above cut it back then buff .
